THE TWO LIFTS

It is very unusual for a listed building like Carfax to have lifts, and our main shaft dates to before 1930. There are two separate lifts which between them service all six of the hotel's floors.
	The main lift (pictured on the right) spans the Lower Ground up to the Third Floor, while the back lift (pictured to the left)  spans the Ground to the Basement level. See the hotel plan for details.

We have ensured that the back lift from the car park level to the ground floor is suitable for wheelchair users, allowing access to most facilities.
