An impressive array of literary talent comes to Bath to provide an
absorbing series of lectures,
interviews, readings and after dinner speeches.
Each day has about 6 speakers offering a short talks and signing
copies of their books afterwards. It has now become a welcome opening
to Bath's festival season.

one of the UK's premier music festivals, attracting
a host of World class names in
jazz and classical
music. The new Artistic Director Joanna
MacGregor, the famed pianist, has

Flower Show

This established show, now in its 22nd
year, is held over the May Bank Holiday weekend in the beautiful
surroundings of the Royal Victoria Park. The inaugural Bath Flower
Show was commissioned to celebrate the centenary of the Botanical
Gardens (in 1987), a stone's throw away from the showground, and
well worth a visit for its beauty and peace.

Running
alongside the main Bath Music Festival, the Fringe events comprise
contemporary art, drama, comedy, street theatre and music concerts
across many Bath venues. Highlights include the Bedlam Fair - an
art weekend on the street, The Walcot Independence Day - this
particular street declares its independence from Bath and
celebrates with a mini-carnival.
