| Being a compact city centre, Bath is easy to get around - it only
takes 30 minutes to walk from one end to the other. However, parking is at a premium, so
take advantage of the free private car park at Carfax's rear if you can.
It works on a first-come first-served basis and accommodates 11 places. We
additionally have a limited number of resident parking permits, again on a
first-come basis, available from reception. These will allow you to park
in the Zone 1 resident parking bays dotted around the hotel.

may hire a lock-up garage in our Mews Carriage House. I
Overnight, from 6.00pm - 10.00am - Monday to Saturday, vehicles parked in payment zones are free, as is Sunday which is free all day. The main commercial car parks are in Avon Street, Charlotte Street, Walcot Street, Ham Gardens, Manvers Street and Kingsmead Square. You can also park at the Sports Centre and Bath Cricket Club, both in North Parade Road, or in the smaller car parks in Broad Street, Sawclose and Walcot Street. |

| The city centre is flat(ish) and there are plenty of racks to
lock your bike up reasonably securely. Getting out of Bath often means a fairly steep hill
climb but there are two flat routes - one out to Bristol using the Bath to Bristol cycle
path, the second out towards Bradford upon Avon using the Kennet and Avon canal path along
the beautiful Limpley Stoke valley. Bikes are
